This is the FAQ page related to the SERB funded Kaaryashala workshop on Quantitative Thinking in Ecology, July 2022. Please write to us (at: quant.ecology2022@iisc.ac.in) only if your query is not addressed below. 

Q. Can students who are not currently enrolled in PG/PhD apply? 

 No. Students have to be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program and working in areas related to ecology and evolution to be eligible for the workshop.  

Q. Can students enrolled in a program other than ecology/biology programs apply?

Preference will be given to students doing research in the field of ecology (or related fields), even if you are formally registered in a differnet department. We will not consider applications whose research work does not have ecology/evolution theme (broadly defined, including related fields).

Q. Can students from CFTIs (e.g. IITs, IISERs, etc) and/or research institutions apply?

As per SERB norms, Kaaryashala workshops are targetted at students from universities and colleges. 

Q. What TA class will the selected applicant be provided with for the to-and-fro journey? 

As per SERB norms -- which we are currently awaiting. We will inform the selected participants.
