Dr. Hari Sridhar, a recent PhD student of Dr. Kartik Shanker from the Centre for Ecological Sciences, has been awarded two prestigious awards for his doctoral thesis work.
Indian National Science Academcy (INSA), New Delhi, has chosen Dr Hari Sridhar as one of the recipients of the prestigious INSA Young Scientist Award for the year 2015. This is made in recognition of a significant research contribution by a young scientist (< 35 years old) for the research work carried out in India.
Indian Institute of Science has awarded him the Shamrao Kaikini Medal, 2013-2014 for his PhD thesis work titled 'Causes and consequences of heterospecifics foraging associations in terrestrial bird communities'.
